“Bleeding Veil”
Palestine 48Palestinian feminist Arab woman, born and raised
in Jaffa. A textile design student specializing in screen printing and haute counture embroidery. As a feminist, moving between two identities – Israeli Arab and Palestinian Arab,
I introduce the bleeding vail, a traditional white wedding veil scattered with blood, evidence of the hymen that was teared in the night of the wedding. Presented as Women’s scarf printed silkscreeen in white and red.
